Looking to rehome my sweet girl Ava. PLEASE READ before messaging about taking her. I am providing all information up front. Ava is a 4 year old UKC registered American Pit Bull Terrier. She is up to date on all shots, spayed, has her UKC paperwork and comes with her lineage paperwork. Ava weighs 110lbs (as of her last vet visit on 3/17/2022). She is a blue brindle. She is 90% an indoor dog. She enjoys long walks and snuggles. She prefers to sleep with you in the bed. She is house trained and she doesn’t have issues going into the crate but she is happier not being in one. She does not chew on anything but she may steal your food if you leave it unattended for too long. She loves people! She doesn’t jump on you and she does basic commands like sit, lay down and back (her recall word is back). She is DOG AGGRESSIVE. She needs to be in a home with NO other pets. NO cats, DEFINITELY NO dogs, NO rabbits NO birds etc. She will get anxious when she sees other dogs on walks but if you distract her or walk the other way she will be fine. She will react to large dogs aggressively. She was doing fine with our other dogs for a long time until recently she snapped out of nowhere and attacked our Dane. They use to be best friends and then one day while all the dogs were casually laying around the house, she got up and started growling and grabbed my Danes leg and drug her down the hallway ripping open the skin on my Danes leg and chest. So believe me when I say she needs to be the ONLY pet in the home. She didn’t use to always be dog aggressive, she was attacked by a large stray while we were out on a walk last year and hasn’t been the same since. We have seen behavioral trainers but they have only provided a possible “maybe” as to fixing the dog aggression behavior. Other than the dog aggression she is the sweetest most lovable dog.
