Press release from San Diego County Sheriff's Department: May 2, 2022 The following information is fragmentary and has not been completely verified. It is based, in part, on hearsay and is intended for early information use rather than being a formal investigative report. On May 2, 2022, just before 9:00 a.m., deputies received a radio call of a welfare check at a residence in the 8500 block of Snow White Dr., Lakeside. The welfare check was for a sixty-four-year-old female. Deputies knocked on the front door. A sixty-one-year-old male answered the door letting the deputies inside. Deputies entered the home and discovered a deceased female in a bedroom. The Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded and has assumed responsibility of the investigation. The circumstances of this incident are still under investigation. The Medical Examiner arrived and took custody of the decedent. Investigators determined the male and female were in a long-term cohabitating relationship. Currently, there is no indication of foul play. The identity of the female is known to investigators, however her name will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
