Are you a high school student interested in the Fire Service? Join us June 4th to learn more about ways to start a career in Fire and EMS! Are you between the ages of 14-19 and want to learn more about what it takes to have a career in Fire Service?? Join us for the first Fire Service 101 Youth Career Expo This is an educational event where you can meet members of the Woodland Fire Department and hear how they got started in the fire service. There will also be representatives from Woodland Community College EMT Program, California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee (Cal-JAC), Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC), UCD Fire EMT/Paramedic Program, AMR, Woodland Fire Department Explorer POST 911, Yuba College Fire Academy and more available to provide insight and resources to you and your parents! Lunch will be provided by the Woodland Professional Firefighters Association! Admission is free but will require a ticket. Caregivers are encouraged to join their teen. Please note there are separate tickets for teens and caregivers, please be sure to get the correct ticket. This is not a recruiting event for the Woodland Fire Department. This is an opportunity for high school students to learn about the different paths available to start a career in the fire service.
