Any interdisciplinary artists, apparel designers, weavers, graphic designers, textile artists, painters and other makers? We have a great studio space share in East Oakland. The studio has open floor space currently occupied with a leather handbag designer and candle maker. This communal shopfront art space features open front showroom area, ample lighting, updated outlets, recently renovated space, utilities included. Space is 23'x18' and is in front of the studio and is currently styled as an open airy flex retail/photography space and we also have a few additional tables on hand, but the space can come to you unfurnished to make your own. Its large open space which can be used to make multiple workspaces if two artists want to share. Plenty of time to work alone. Studio space include: 1. Electricity -- dedicated 110 volt wall outlets with USB. 2. Common area amenities such as open sales floor with display area or to host events for your work, washroom, back room with fridge, microwave and coffee/tea cart. 3. Studio is built with full city permits up to the current building code, every maker/artist has the option to get a business license and operate their business out of the studio (e.g. direct sales). 4. WiFi 5. Security - 24 hour monitoring of facilities. Studio is located in the up and coming Melrose district south of Mills College in Oakland on Fairfax Avenue. Monthly rate $450 - Utilities Included
