LAWRENCE, MA — A man was shot in Lawrence early Monday morning, police said. Lawrence police responded to Broadway for a report of shots fired and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was treated and taken to Lawrence General Hospital and then a Boston-area hospital. The man was not identified. He is believed to be in his mid-to-late 30s, police said. "Based on the information obtain at this point the investigation this does not appear to be a random act of violence," the department said.
