The police try to piece together the details of the murder in an attempt to track down the killers. Dir. Richard Brooks, with Robert Blake, Scott Wilson, and John Forsythe. The film was nominated for four Academy Awards: Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Rated R, and very intense. Not recommended for young viewers.
