Field Service Technician for Growing Home Improvement/Landscaping Co. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Black Diamond’s Field Service Techs will receive competitive compensation of $22 to $25/hr depending on experience & licensing. Benefits include medical, dental & vision insurance, paid vacation, 3 paid holidays and a 401K plan with a company match. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Field Service Technicians will be performing landscape tasks such as: installing new irrigation valves, fixing irrigation leaks, replacing and/or installing new plants, etc. - Also, performing hardscape tasks as needed such as: re-grading levels, switching out broken or stained pavers, low voltage lighting, devising solutions for failing drainage systems. - Survey existing conditions on residential hardscape / landscape installation projects, identify quality and safety problems and resolve issues accordingly. - Identify additional services that may be required and present all options to the customer. Manage safety programs and jobsite safety conditions. REQUIREMENTS: - Field Service Techs must have experience in the hardscape/landscape and/or construction industry with basic product and procedures knowledge. - Must be dependable, punctual, organized with strong communication skills while being success driven with the ability to positively interact with costumers. - A team player, who can work independently or supervised, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. - Willingness to expand knowledge base and skill levels from Laborer to Technician – enjoys learning. - Knowledge of basic OSHA-regulated safety measures. - Must live within 25 miles of our San Jose Headquarters. - Clean driving record with valid CA driver’s license. - Bi-lingual English/Spanish is helpful and completion of Horticulture and/or Construction courses is a plus.
