Welcome to Taking AIM Spring 2022 Conference! Join us to learn more about intersectional medicine! Welcome to Taking AIM Spring 2022 Conference! Our keynote speakers are Dr. Keith Norris and Dr. O. Kenrik Duru. Dr. Keith C. Norris is an internationally recognized clinician scientist, health policy leader, and professor at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and the Principal Investigator for the first national translational research network dedicated to reducing health disparities, the NIH-Research Centers in Minority Institutions Translational Research Network. Dr. O. Kenrik Duru, MD, MSHS, Professor, Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine, received a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of California San Francisco and a Master of Science in Health Services from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Dr. Duru's research interests include enhancing physical activity among minority seniors and designing interventions to reduce disparities in medication adherence and clinical outcomes among patients with diabetes. Additionally we have multiple workshops dedicated to exploring many different intersections of healthcare. These include exploring topics such as ageism, reproductive health, immigrant health, mental health, healthcare in other nations, and environmental impact of medical waste.
