Mickey is a 3 year old Shiba-Jindo mix who was rescued from the meat markets of Korea. He weighs about 20 lbs. Mickey is a shy guy and can be a bit nervous meeting new people and in new situations, but he's also the gentle sort. He will do well in a patient and peaceful home that allows him to go at his own pace. Mickey is fostered with a dog and cats and does well with all other creatures. He is crate trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. Once he's comfortable, he loves pets and cuddles. Mickey is only an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 5 years. He would enjoy going to a home with another dog (or even a dog-friendly cat!). If there are children in the home, they should be over the age of 12. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 16th unless he is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite.
