Celebrate the makers and delicious brews on National Beer Day at Maverick Whiskey Distillery! On April 7, 2022, enjoy rolling in like a maverick and claiming your seat at the bar to try tasty craft beers in a historic Texas setting. All brews served on tap at this establishment are created in-house, on the site of Samuel Maverick’s original homestead just steps away from the historic Alamo. Drink lovers can cheers with a glass or two between 2-9pm. Happy Hour prices are available from 3-6pm on bites and beverages every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday including: $6 House Brewed Craft Beers (20 oz pour ABV permitting), $10 Flights of Beer, Whiskey, or Spirits, $7 Glasses of Wine (Cabernet, Chardonnay, Rose), $8 Handcrafted Classic Cocktails, plus specials on foods such as a rotating menu of appetizers starting at $7 and up. Beers on tap for National Beer Day at Maverick Whiskey Distillery include: Archies IPA (5.3% ABV)- (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE EYE PA). This IPA answers the question, "what happens when you make a traditional English IPA with American hops?" The answer? A caramel colored beauty with a flavor that carefully balances earth aromatics with bright citrus notes and mild bitterness. We don't know if the brewer named it as such out of pride or impatience but we'll let you decide. Cheers! Sunny Blonde Ale (4.6% ABV)- This beer is a simple but bright blonde that's almost straw like in color. Being crystal clear with earthy and mildly spicy flavor, this is a beer that everyone will enjoy. Our brewer said he made this beer to be a ray of sunshine brewed with his mother in mind. Morgenmuffel (morning grouch) Marzen (6.2% ABV)- Morgenmuffel is a sneaky 6.2%, Marzen style beer that'll try to keep you from getting out of bed in the morning. With its light white head and strong lacing, this beer is smooth on the palate from start to finish. Medium in body, with a bittersweet finish, you will find yourself getting cozy with this rich amber beauty. Smelling of roasted malt and biscuits fresh from the over, we highly recommend you try Morgenmuffel before it's gone! My Sister's Stout (4% ABV)- A friendly, easy drinking beer with flavors of subtle chocolate and coffee sandwiched between dominant notes of roasted barley has this beer dancing on your palate. The off white head and dark red hue give this beer looks as well as taste, so grab a glass or two and enjoy this guilt free seasonal delight.
