Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Ash DeMello, your host of the Irving Daily. First, today's weather: Cloudy; breezy in the p.m. High: 80 Low: 60. Here are the top five stories in Irving today: A Coppell couple is turning personal tragedy into help for families of organ donors through the nonprofit, Taylor's Gift Kindred Hearts Program. When Tara and Todd Storch's daughter died in a skiing accident in 2010, their choice to donate her organs saved five lives. They noticed a lack of emotional support and outreach, however. Through this new program, Taylor's Gift will provide trained Caring Guides and support groups to help families navigate the grieving process. (Star Local Media)Stormy weather is ahead, say meteorologists. The National Weather Service warns North Texans that hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible Tuesday evening. (CW33 Dallas)The inaugural Club Core Classic is headed to the Las Colinas Country Club April 19-24. An array of celebrities will be on site to share in the action, including Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, Brian Baumgartner (The Office) and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit two Dallas nonprofits. (Visit Irving Blog)Dallas County shrunk population-wise between 2020 and 2021, reports Matt Goodman.
