Description

Titus, our big beautiful 1 year old puppy, is sweet, friendly, energetic, and–unfortunately– a poultry killer. Early in his life, he was around other dogs that were livestock predators, and he developed a taste for chickens. We are a working church ranch that raises layer and meat chickens along with other livestock as part of our food outreach ministry. We love Titus, but we must find him another home.   Titus has free range of our 100-acre plus property, but generally stays within just a few acres of our home. He is an intelligent, teachable dog who has not been properly trained beyond simple commands like ‘lie down’, and ‘sit’. He gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and ages, and is accustomed to being around horses and cows. Of course he barks from time to time, but he is generally quiet and is by no means an “all night howler”. Titus would be an excellent “big backyard dog”, a great playmate and companion to children around 10 years old or older who love dogs and enjoy running and romping with them. Titus weighs around 70 pounds and loves to jump up on you if you are playing with him, so I wouldn’t recommend him to a household with younger children that he could accidentally knock over. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in providing him with a new, loving home. If you are interested in adopting Titus, please send me an email or text (no phone calls, please!) and tell me a little bit about yourself and your living situation. We need to rehome our beautiful dog as soon as possible. God bless you!
