More Store Closures In Evergreen Park, Chicago Ridge Mall

CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — For the third time this summer, the Chicago Ridge Mall will be closed Monday, Aug. 10, in light of the overnight unrest and looting in downtown Chicago. The mall announced it was closing "out of an abundance of caution," until further notice. "We'll continue monitoring the situation and will share opening plans on our Facebook page." Businesses along Western Avenue, between 91st and 95th streets are closed in Evergreen Park as a precautionary measure. This includes the stores in Evergreen Market (Walmart, Meijers, Menards, etc.) and Evergreen Plaza. Mariano's and Binny's Beverage Mart are also closing. Check back later for updates.
