Description
If you're a baby boomer this ad is for you. I'm 67 years old and in my fourteenth year of teaching guitar, five years at the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View (CSMA) and now nine years at the Los Gatos School of Music. Well, that was before the pandemic shut-down, now I’m teaching via Zoom or Facetime.
About me.
While I"ve been teaching guitar for 14 years last year marks my 55th year playing(!!). That means I started in 1966 which gives you a very good idea as to the music I grew up with.
I have LOTS of songs to teach you. If it's a tune I haven't already written out for somebody then I'll write it out for you, that's how it works. You pick the tunes; Beatles, Stones, Chuck Berry, Chicago, Eagles, Cat Stevens, Crosby Stills & Nash, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Santana, John Denver, Peter Paul and Mary, Judy Collins - wherever your boomer sensibility takes you we can do it.
Yes, I teach you chords, strumming, fingerpicking, tab, and lead (if you want) but the main thing is that the whole curriculum is placed in the context of boomer songs and styles.
About you.
You're a boomer or close to it. Or you just like boomer music.
Maybe you played back in the day but life took you elsewhere and you miss it.
Maybe you've been playing all along but never progressed past a certain point due to other demands and now you're in a place to pursue it further.
Maybe you've never played a note but always wanted to and you think it's now or never.
I have students in all of these categories, from complete beginners to intermediate players who've been playing for awhile. Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes. You can pay as you go or pay by the month. Send me an email, let's hear your story. ;)
And, again, these days I’m teaching via Zoom or Facetime. Because I use lots of emailed handouts you’ll have plenty to review both in lesson documentation and songs.
Thanks.
