UNION CITY, CA — The Libertarian Party of Alameda County is holding a scholarship contest with cash awards of $1500, $1000, $500 and $300. The contest is open to juniors and seniors who live in Union City or elsewhere in Alameda County, and are enrolled in private or public schools, or are homeschooled. Contestants must submit either an essay or video. More information and an entry form is online. The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. May 31.
