MISSION VIEJO, CA — Are you interested in learning more about an upcoming space mission? The City of Mission Viejo, in partnership with local nonprofit Science Heads and NASA Solar System Ambassadors, is hosting a free STEAM event on March 19 at the Mission Viejo Library. At the event, NASA Solar System Ambassadors will offer information on an array of topics about the upcoming Artemis I mission. The event is appropriate for residents of all ages, and the presentations are geared toward kids ages 12 and older. Additionally, the event will host space-themed story times for children ages two through six. Resident can join in on two space presentations to be held in the City Hall Council Chambers. The first presentation is titled: "NASA's Artemis I Mission" and is scheduled at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The second presentation is titled: "Why the Moon?" and is slotted at 3:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Hands-on STEAM activities, along with the mobile observatory, will be available in the Kershaw Garden in Mission Viejo City Hall from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Residents do not need to register to attend the event.
