Description

Come join a Junior Wildlife Rangers twice a month for a guided walk at Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland, CA. Fun for the whole family! About this event: Junior Wildlife Ranger is hosting two hikes a month. Every 1st Saturday you can join us for an all ages .75 mille guided walk through Joaquin Miller Park(JMP). On this walk two volunteers will facilitate exploration amongst the forest flora and fauna. Every 3rd Saturday of the month we will host a “challenge hike” for children and parents who want to explore longer, more intermediate trails in JMP. The challenge hike will feature more narrow trails with some steep terrain. Give your kids the opportunity to develop a curiosity about the natural world! Who knows? Perhaps you’ll learn something new yourself. After the guided walk you will earn a digital badge and a limited edition Joaquin Miller-JWR sticker! _____________________________________________________________________________________ Children must be accompanied by a parent. We will meet by the big tree stump across from the Ranger Station. Please wear appropriate shoes as the terrain can by rocky at times and does have some slopes.
