Our Supported Living Department is looking for an individual to share a beautiful house in Pleasanton with two fun loving individuals! This is an opportunity for FREE RENT! Roommate position IS AVAILABLE! Located in a quiet Pleasanton neighborhood with lots of street parking! You would have your own bedroom in a four-bedroom house, with a shared bathroom with their ILS roommate. There would be a shared kitchen, dining, backyard and living space. The roommate is there to provide support in case of an emergency during the overnight and the clients tend to sleep well throughout the night. The roommate is also present to assist with support in the mornings to ensure they have a good breakfast, complete certain chores, medications/pills administering, and help with getting ready for the day! This job is a great way to gain experience in the non-profit sector, social work, social services, occupational therapy, mental health, or healthcare. We seek people who want to make a difference in the lives of others and are reliable, dependable, and teachable. Work Schedule: It is 5 consecutive overnights a week Tuesday - Saturday into Sunday morning (60 Hours). Work hours and days may vary and are subject to change. They will depend on the schedule and needs of the individual/s receiving services. About you: Non-smoker (of any kind) Looking for someone who is outgoing, personable, flexible with changes and there's the option to pick up 20 hours of other shifts with other clients on a permanent basis. Able to be awake when needed during the night and respond appropriately to emergencies Dependable, reliable, and excellent communicator Comfortable with providing personal care Comfortable with communicating with the clients family Driver Patient and flexible to pick up open shifts from time to time would be preferred Ability to effectively communicate with the CSF and partake in check in sessions Able to pay close attention to the clients needs, with good judgment and documentation abilities About the amenities: Your own private bedroom and shared bathroom with their roommate in a 4-bedroom house Shared kitchen Shared dining room Shared backyard Lots of street parking!
