Description
POWAY, CA — Patch reader Francesco Baruffi captured these photos of an Anna's hummingbird in Poway. The pictures were taken seconds apart of the same bird at Poway Community Park.
"They have iridescent feathers which change in color depending on the angle of the viewer," Baruffi explained. "One article I read on these tiny birds described them as weighing less than a nickel and as looking more like 'flying jewelry' than birds."
