Seeking a general handyman for a wide range of miscellaneous small projects throughout The Villages. Typical projects include hanging objects on walls, ceiling tile replacement, drywall patching, drywall texturing, painting, minor exterior repairs, moving or relocating appliances, wall repair, maintenance for sports courts, and door adjustments. Duties include receiving work orders via email or text message, making initial contact with clients, evaluating work required, gathering any materials required from home improvement or building supply stores, completing work, and finally reporting progress back to manager. Individuals must have basic organizational skills to track completion status of roughly 15-20 work orders per week. Hours are mostly flexible 7 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday with occasional need for after hours or weekend work. Hiring company is Mark Cook Builders, a general contracting firm based out of Leesburg, FL. Applicants must be presentable and able to clearly communicate with manager and various clients. Background check required for employment. Pay range from $15 to $25 per hour depending on individual and qualifications.
