This is lengthy, we're not for everybody but if this resonates with you we would like to hear from you. We are an experienced, established, having all the bells & whistles rock n roll/rockin' blues band playing originals & covers & we are seeking a new drummer. WHAT YOU'LL GET: 1. It's a 5 piece band with the other 4 members being together in excess of 5 yrs so you'll be stepping into a very established outfit. Each member is mature, financially sound, punctual & pro active in the bands needs including a social media presence at least on FB so as to be able to spread the word about the band. Also, we are friends & there's rock solid musicianship. 2. We have a great rehearsal facility located in NE SA at one of the members house complete with 5 pc acoustic kit. So no lugging drums! We have a complete PA for shows & each member has PRO gear. 3. We typically devote 1 of 3 days (Fri, Sat or Sun) 3 weekends out of the month to music. E.g. 1 month might have 3 shows, the next month may have 2 shows & a rehearsal but the average will devote a portion of 3 weekends each month to music. Therefore you can expect 2-3 & on rare occasions 4 shows (depending upon what it is). 4. Your voice will be heard, we're not just looking for a drummer, we're looking for a band-mate. WHAT WE'LL ACCEPT & EXPECT: 1. Absolutely no hired guns or multiple project participants. I/we understand especially in a drummers case that multiple projects are often juggled. More power to those that do but we will not engage in that practice. I/we at no time wish to compete for your time with other bands. It's hard enough to compete with the bands & clubs to get shows. Also we play quite a few originals & many of our covers aren't the just step in & play. We want to be rehearsed, we pride ourselves on presenting a united, cohesive brand so if you're looking for a place to call home then we're looking for you. 2. FYI we understand friendship takes time but we should be able to determine after talking on the phone whether further investment be made in meeting along with getting together to jam (I hate the word audition) be made. As for the other intangibles I mentioned above about the quality of character& intangibles each brings to the band, you as well will need to have those same traits. we'll expect those from you just as you'll get from us. 3. We have a fair amount of original material, we are a recorded artist that has music distributed through all the outlets so it will be vital for you to gravitate to & learn the songs. Our originals are as diverse as the covers we play. From Jethro Tull to Marshall Tucker, from Collective Soul to The Eagles, from The Allman Bros to The Cult. So ideally we're looking for someone that has a great penchant & liking for what we'll call Classic Rock (I hate that term). You might note that each of us are 50+. I'll close with this. If you're looking for ONE rock solid band you can call home that has a lot of fun but still maintains a high level of pride & professionalism then we should talk. If you've not played in a gigging band before this is not for you, we seek someone with experience. The ideal candidate is someone in our age group that maybe has been out of it a while still keeping up the chops & understanding the bit of a grind. Or someone whose situation presently is a going no where fast, revolving door. That's not here, like I said the 4 of us have been together 5+ yrs. We will NOT engage in CL or text Q&A.
