We want to train you how to STOP THE BLEED®. With three quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. With three quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. We want to train you how to STOP THE BLEED®. Why Learn? A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®. What You’ll Gain from the Course Ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control bleedingLearn three quick lifesaving techniquesBecome empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happensThe class will have 30 people per training. We welcome families to sign up as a group. There is no charge for the event. Time: 3 pm - 5 pm Location: 1900 S D St McAllen, TX 78503 Heart Conference Room South Texas Health System provides care to communities throughout South Texas. It is comprised of Edinburg Children’s Hospital, Edinburg Regional Medical Center, McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Heart Hospital, South Texas Behavioral Health Center and Cornerstone Regional Hospital. South Texas Health System is accredited by The Joint Commission and offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services that includes cardiovascular, maternity, women’s health, neuroscience, emergency and surgical care, along with specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, asthma, pediatrics, diabetes, wound care, bariatrics and rehabilitation.
