Join OC Habitats on a guided hike through Santiago Oaks Regional Park and learn about local flora and fauna along the way! We are excited to share this hike with you! The hike is approximately 2 miles with some elevation along the way. We will explore the history of the area, the species that use the area, and some edible plant information. Please wear appropriate attire for hiking, bring your refillable water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. If you want to look closer bring your binoculars, cameras and species field guides. All attendees must fill out liability waiver. All participants must be at least 10 years of age and participants 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult and have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. Parking is $5/vehicle on weekends if you choose to park inside the park. You may also find parking outside the park along residential streets but plan for a short walk into the park. The mission of OC Habitats (OCH) is to provide a public service for the many habitats of Orange County, California through conservation efforts, rehabilitation, restoration, education, outreach, volunteerism, monitoring, and partnering with other entities whose goal is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of natural habitats and the species therein.
