Educational guided hike about tule elk on Coyote Ridge Did you know there are elk in San José? Believe it or not, herds of magnificent tule elk can be found in the Diablo Range and thrive in the protected lands of Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve. Join Docent Mike to learn more about tule elk. You may even get the chance to see the herd! This program will take place at the top of Coyote Ridge and will include a flat and moderate 2-mile hike. Please bring water to drink and dress in layers for possibly breezy conditions. Rain or wet conditions will cancel.
