Our workshops are geared to provide all the information needed to become a successful mortgage applicant and homeowner. The NID Housing workshops always encourage participants to ask plenty of questions. This is a eight hour Homebuyer's Workshop to earn towards your eight hour certificate that is required from some lenders and some down payment assistance programs. This particular class will cover all aspects of HUD homebuying. In this course you will learn about the loan process, closing process, credit management, fair housing, home inspections, homeowners insurance, down payment assistance and the real estate process. NID Housing (NID) was co-founded in 1986 by National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) President T.L. “Thom” Holmes and Political Action Committee Chair, Ray Carlisle, Sr.NAREB, the largest and oldest minority real estate trade association in the nation, was founded in 1947 with the cause and motto of promoting “Democracy in Housing”. NID, with the assistance of a joint U. S. Department of Housing Development and Department of Commerce Economic Development grant, initiated its work plan to expand access to fair and safe real estate mortgage loan and investment capital to support the positive economic growth of minority communities and businesses and the urban city as a whole.
