Local SF artist & designer has immediate need for a moving assistant to help sort, organize and package items for move of studio/apt/warehouse space near Mission Bay/Dogpatch in San Francisco. Must be willing to commit to @ 20 hours of work for 1 week, @ 4 hours per day, for @ 5 days, possibly longer. I have some flexibility on dates & times, etc. Pay is $20/hour. I’m already overwhelmed with move, so project can start right away. We will not work on New Years Eve and New Years Day, but otherwise open to working daily to get this done asap. You will work directly with long-time resident artist to organize, box, and move all sorts of stuff down a flight of stairs. Minimal English ok, good energy, reliability, honest and trust-worthy, and some lifting involved, up to 20 lbs (but that's not the main work). Helpful, but not required: if you have any handy-person skills, or if you can lift heavier items with assistance let me know. Work may also involve accompanying me on errands to drop off donated goods, or doing some random research and follow up on furniture donations, and other moving issues. We will work in COVID-safe protocols - mask required, prefer vaccinated individuals. Casual creative work environment and work partner. Please reply with notes on why you’re a good fit.
