Young, Social Walker Houndx "BENNY" for Adoption

This 8 month old primarily Walker hound boy came into a Bay Area shelter as a stray & is now looking for his forever person/family. According to shelter staff he is a social allstar who is clever, goofy & "full of beans." This handsome boy weighs in at 53 lbs, is eager to train, takes treats gently & loves to give his human fans affection. He readily rolls over for belly rubs, is surprisingly quiet in his kennel, is working on housebreaking. Benny has been neutered, chipped, vaccinated. We are looking for an adopter who has the time and patience to further this youngster's training & understands that hounds, like their beagle couterparts, will need recall work due to their stupendous scenting abilities. This breed is often an excellent companion for a current household dog who would enjoy a friend to exercise with.
