SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Police on Monday were investigating a weekend shooting that left a 40-year-old woman dead and injured a 43-year-old man in San Francisco, authorities said.
San Francisco police officers from the Bayview Station responded to the shooting Sunday at 7:08 a.m. on the 100 block of Dakota street.
Upon arrival, officers found two shooting victims and immediately rendered aid to the pair. Both were taken to a hospital, but the woman died of her injuries and was pronounced dead at the trauma center. The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
A suspect was still outstanding and no arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.
Anyone with information was asked to call the station's tip line at 1-415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with "SFPD." Callers and taxers may remain anonymous, police said.
