Description
I'm a singer/multi-instrumentalist, looking for someone to form an acoustic duo. My intent is to play happy hours (around 6-9 pm) and weekend brunches (around 11 am - 2 pm) in the Tri-Valley area. Not into playing bars until midnight or 1 am. Been there, done that.
In terms of repertoire, I'm thinking acoustic rock and country from the 70s to the present and acoustic versions of electric rock songs. But I'm open to all kinds of stuff. I realize that when you gig, you play what the audience wants to hear. I'm not interested in "new country", or at most very little of it.
I play guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, etc. and sing lead and harmony vocals. Looking for a solid rhythm guitar player who can also sing harmony vocals. If you play lead guitar and/or sing lead vocals, all the better. I would prefer to share those duties rather than sing all of the lead vocals and play all of the instrumental leads myself. If you play additional instruments, better still. But I think that for this kind of music the emphasis has to be on the vocals.
I have played and sung in gigging bands for more than 20 years, have pro equipment, etc. I'm a 60-year-old married guy with adult children, but your age and gender don't matter as long as we are compatible musically.
If you're interested, hit me back and tell me about yourself. Thank you for your interest!
