Rhythm Guitarist wanting to join or start Band

I am a semi-novice rhythm player and have great acoustic guitar skills. I can sing backups, maybe lead on a few. I would like to join or start a band of people who are versatile, talented, and will actually practice and learn their parts before practice. Practice in my home is a go. I also have a drum kit that can be used for practice. I really want to play gigs, don't care where, just don't want to spin my wheels and waste time on people who don't have an objective in mind. I am open to playing almost anything from 50s, through current, including country, and don't care if your male or female. I would like to call the project The Holy Union Band, but am open to suggestions.
