Here are the top stories today in Round Rock: On Friday, Gov. Greg Abbott celebrated Kyle Rittenhouse's acquittal: 'NOT GUILTY!' The jury in Rittenhouse's Wisconsin trial reached a verdict on Friday, finding him not guilty on all counts of homicide and reckless endangerment charges. (Houston Chronicle) The Round Rock ISD board of trustees approved the implementation of a hiring and retention incentive for district employees during a Nov. 18 meeting. (Community Impact Newspaper) Before you stuff yourselves on turkey and stuffing, go for a run at the 5th annual Fleet Feet Round Rock Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. (Round Rock Patch) Round Rock City Council voted to approve a resolution to sign onto a statewide opioid settlement during its Nov. 18 meeting. Signing onto the settlement allows the city to receive a maximum one-time payment of $475,992 to fund opioid-abatement programs locally.(Community Impact Newspaper) Austin just got a perfect score in an annual review of LGBTQ+ policies — for the 9th year in a row. (KXAN.com)Round Rock's Planning and Development Services staff delivered a Residential Development Update presentation for Fall 2021 to the Planning and Zoning Commission on Friday. The presentation provided an overview of the different types of housing units currently being constructed in Round Rock, and updated the Commission about specific housing projects throughout the city.
