Description
A safe space for the community of Black, Indigenous, Womxn & Femme of color to gather & reflect what we've gone thru in the last year. The last two years have been filled with not just the usual ebbs and flows of life, but a jarring shake into our lifestyle and sense of being. We all had to find our way to new footing in what was unraveling and what we were uncovering before us. This workshop will help encourage participants to ground, use movement to re-calibrate our energy flow and gather within the community to witness each other in our process of being. Participants will learn practices to honor and listen to ancestors, self and community through altar preparation, meditation and movement medicine. Let us gather to set powerful intentions for the new year in a judgement free sacred space. This event is created with love, a respect for sacred pause and weaving within the community. What to expect: This event will start at 10 AM and end at 3 PM with a lunch break at 12:30 a.m. This will be an immersive day with various participating exercises from grounding sound bath meditation, movement and respectful spiritual practice to help integrate us in mind, body and spirit. How to Prepare: Before coming to the event please review the community guidelines. Please note, this is unapologetically a space for Black, Indigenous, Womxn & Femme of color. If this does not speak to you and would like to be a strong ally, you may contribute by donating for someone else in the community to attend.
