Join us for an evening with the team behind the award-winning podcast featuring stories of daily life in prison and post-incarceration. Executive Producer Julie Shapiro will chat with co-creators and co-hosts Nigel Poor and Earlonne Woods about the podcast and their new book, This Is Ear Hustle: Unflinching Stories of Everyday Prison Life. After Nigel and E. read a few favorite sections from the book, the full Ear Hustle team will join the mix. Stick around to ask questions, get your book signed, and enjoy refreshments outdoors! Copies of This Is Ear Hustle will be available for purchase at the event. Doors open at 6:30pm; conversation starts at 7:00pm. This is an in-person event and will not be livestreamed. Proof of vaccination will be required upon entry, and all attendees are required to wear masks inside the KQED building.
