Band seeking organist / keyboardist

Meets

Santa Ana CA

Description

4-piece bluesy rock band (female vocalist, guitar, bass, drums, ages ~30-50) looking for an organist / keyboardist to add some color and help fill out our sound. Especially looking for B3 organ majority of the time with some Rhodes, and occasional piano as well. You should have a clonewheel type organ/keyboard. Tasteful chord voicing and simple runs is really all we need for the most part. Knowing what works best for the song (ie. when not to play, controlling volume, swells at the right moment, etc.) is more important to us than you being able to solo. But you can, great! Be open to what we have in mind for certain songs, but freedom to do your thing as well. We have a blues rock, 60's, Americana, country, bayou soul type sound. We play some covers (Animals, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Stapleton, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Band, Jefferson Airplane, etc.) and also have many solid originals in the works. We'll add a cover here and there to keep it fun and will be writing more originals as well. This is a mostly-for-fun band that will eventually record a little and play some shows here and there. No touring, just locally. We get together every other Sunday (sometimes Saturday) at a rehearsal studio in Santa Ana where costs are split. Your first one is free, of course. Looking for someone who is available, committed, and chill. If you fit the bill, come check it out and see if there's a fit. We think we have something fun and solid going. Just need another sound in the mix. Thanks for reading.
