OCA-East Bay (www.ocaeastbay.org) is resuming our PickITup program in Oakland Chinatown which we've done monthly for almost five years. In the past five years we've cleared hundreds of pounds of trash and illegal dumping out of the Chinatown, have abated graffiti, and planted/watered new trees in the neighborhood. We are meeting up in Madison Park in October, and the meetup spot will change moving forward. Everyone please take PPE precautions during the event regardless of vaccination status. While that's not a guarantee, we will take precautions to try and limit risks, the main one utilizing strength in numbers.
