Arden was found dumped outside of San Antonio. He is approximately 4-6 years of age. He is a very sweet boy but was severely underweight when found and is still gaining. He is about 90 lbs and could easily go over 100 once he gains all of his weight back. He does not always know his size however and will cuddle up on the couch with you to watch a movie. Arden is housebroke and good with most dogs. However, he does not do well with other Alpha dogs. He is currently at our rescue with very small dogs and other larger dogs and does fine with everyone, except our Alpha. They just do not like eachother. If you have other dogs, and they are dog friendly and not an Alpha, he would be fine with them. Arden has improved greatly from when he first arrived here. I doubt he was ever walked on a leash before as he would just pull and pull where ever he wanted to go. He still pulls, just not as bad or as often as before, and he will need just a bit more guidance/training in that area. He is crate trained, but he doesnt like it and will ocassionally voice his displeasure at being locked up. He has a very deep and resounding bark but usually quiets down within just a few minutes and sleeps through the night. He is very calm in the home and of a moderate energy level. Ideally I would like to find Arden an indoor home as either an only dog or a household without an alpha personality. No outside only home please. He does not have a high energy requirement and is actually slightly lazy, but he would need a bit of room to stretch out for exercise.
