Description
Hey yall,
Im looking to start a band for some local gigs and see where that takes us. No real rules but definitely have structure in how we play our songs not just totally going to wing it. I am planning on doing this solo regardless but would really love to fill out the sound with some other instruments and not rely only on drum machines and loops. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to play some original and familiar stuff at local venues. All skill levels welcome so if your reading this and want to play some music please reply. Do you play any of these instruments? Have you always wanted to have fun playing misic for events, bars and venues?
Huge bonus if you know some of your own songs and can sing harmonies.
Not really looking to be put in a genre box so all styles are welcome but would really like it if you were able to adapt to what ever style the song sounds best in.
Currently I have a Jazzmaster, Uke, Drums with new heads but no cymbals, a four string Bass and an Acoustic guitar.
Here is a list of the cover songs I currently know outside of my own music.
Save Tonight - Eagle Eye Cherry
The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
So Into You - Tamia
Best Part - Daniel Cesar
Love song - The Cure
Island in the sun - Weezer
Twist and shout - Beatles
Forget you - Cee Lo Green
Beggin - Maneskin (Franky Vallie lyrics as of now)
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Boot Scootin Boogie - Brooks and Dun
Chicken Fried - Zack Brown Band
Semi Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind
Would love to add some Jazz/Funk songs to this list.
Im open to learning all types of music just might have to adapt ot to fit our set list.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
