LOS GATOS, CA — Los Gatos is seeking public input on the hiring process for its next police chief by hosting a community meeting next Tuesday.
The town is looking to fill the role after Peter Decena abruptly resigned in September, with reportsthat he was pushed out of the job and only later allowed to resign. Captain Clint Tada has been serving as interim chief.

Decena's resignation came amid controversy over a shortage of 911 dispatchers in Los Gatos.
Town Manager Laurel Prevetti told Patch in September that Decena "voluntarily resigned" and declined to comment further on a "personnel matter."
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and the public can join here.
