Two working professionals looking for an amazing nanny who wants to be a warm and kind presence in our new baby girl's life! We are excited to hire someone who can support our family in raising a happy and healthy child. Our dream is to find someone who would stay with us for the long term, who has knowledge and experience cooking organic and healthy foods and can help two new parents find their footing as new parents/busy working professionals. We are looking for someone who will enjoy this job and is willing to be flexible Monday through Friday. We work sometimes late or early hours and will be so grateful to find someone willing to accommodate. Duties: Be an amazing, nurturing and punctual nanny! Light housework (Housekeeper comes once a week--this is about keeping things tidy especially in the kitchen) Light cooking (mostly baby’s food, but occasionally put something in the oven for the whole family!) Adhere to a sleep schedule -- we will be doing sleep training in the next six (6) months Be punctual (if not early) Attention to detail and good at following instructions Must be flexible with the schedule! Both parents work freelance and have varied schedules and work out of town at times Must have own transportation Must be willing to accompany mom to work certain days Feed and walk our dog-- hoping to find someone who would be happy to do this! Run the occasional errand for baby-related needs Open to traveling with the family Possible overnights (not sure that this is necessary, but hoping to find someone willing to if one parent is out of town) Respectful and clear communication (this goes both ways! It is important to us that you get your needs met and feel respected/ cared about. You have a life and personal needs too!) Maintain family’s privacy / show discretion Experience/ Background Three (3) years experience Background in early education a plus Nurturing and calming presence is a must (if you meditate, we want to meet you!) Parenting style - “non-violent parenting” (this is a book/method that we have really enjoyed learning about--would love someone with knowledge of or who would be open to reading/ learning about it too--we can all learn together) Experience and knowledge of child nutritional needs/ healthy foods a must Must love dogs -- there will be times you will be at our home and the only one who can feed/walk our sweet dog. Speak spanish or french a plus Non-smoker a must No perfume in the house (thank you for understanding!)
