Drummer Wanted for Psychedelic Indie Folk-Rock Band

Meets

San Francisco CA

Description

Hello! We're a band of three singer-songwriters (2 guitars, 1 bass) and we're looking for someone to play drums for our project. We are in our early/mid 30s and have been playing and writing songs together for a couple years. We're vaxxed and looking to start playing out soon. Ideally we'd rehearse/jam/write once a week and play a local show every couple months or so. We're not really looking to tour or anything like that, but we really want someone who can make the weekly rehearsal commitment, because making music together is fun. *I have access to a studio space, so we won't need to rent a separate space. STYLE: We all write/sing tunes, so there is a range of styles. Something like: George Harrison, Wilco, Blake Mills, Cass McCombs, Radiohead, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, with some Indian and Brazilian elements thrown in there. We like old and old-style guitars and amps, and some nerding out about pedals and the like. YOU: We'd like to play with a skilled player who can perform a range of styles. We're interested in doing our own songs, as well as some covers and even some vibey instrumental gigs and the like. Someone who is comfortable playing a folky rock song followed by a space jam followed by an updated arrangement of a Hank Williams Sr. tune with brushes is sort of our ideal drummer, if that makes any sense. Also, we want to play with people who are actively working on their skills. If you used to be in bands but haven’t really played at all in the past few years, this probably isn’t the best fit. Here is the most recent EP we put out as a co-writing project: Bandcamp: https://pulitzer.bandcamp.com/album/behind-me-ep3 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/3CzyYF6ICPH9andskwPBMK?si=r37RunYEQOWEfG3t3q01KQ You can also check out my solo releases, here are some recent ones: Bandcamp: https://brianbond.bandcamp.com/track/winter-flowers Bandcamp: https://brianbond.bandcamp.com/album/who-are-you Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/4CC45zDEZZiacuPQ6EZZnp?si=SRkWR2yCRViwSo2jQW2bGQ We record and mix ourselves and love to stay productive in terms of writing and recording new material. So lots of room for creative input and all that. VIBE: We drink a little beer, hit the vape pen, and play some tunes. No hard drugs. All genders, ethnicities etc. welcome! Email me at the CL email link with your name and number, a bit about yourself and your style and gear, and I look forward to talking.i
