Something people don't get about "tax the rich"

How to pay for Biden's HUGE SPENDING ?? Basically, the Democrats are asking American Taxpayers to accept a $5 TRILLION hit to our National Debt, that WE will have to pay for. Where the money goes is anybody's guess. Knowing the way our government works, I'd say MAYBE 20% of that money would be spent on things this country actually needs. The Biden administration continues to push the narrative that the $5 TRILLION dollar reconciliation bill will cost “zero”. ( !!!!!! ) However, the plan Democrats have come up with, calls for historically high tax increases, so that 'zero cost' line is complete BULLSHIT "Tax the Rich !!" Seems to be the favorite rallying cry of Liberal/Socialists. Somebody else will pay for it !! Yeah, right..... Here's something people don't get; When 'rich people' get hit with high taxes, they always pass it on to you and me in the form of higher prices on goods and services. So, whenever you hear a politician say 'tax the rich', you can plan on increased prices on EVERYTHING. Biden administration has caused about a 10% increase in the cost of living already this year. "Normal" inflation is between 2% to 5% each year, so that 10% jump in 9 months is very concerning. Taxing the rich will only make it worse. And NO, Biden's $5 Trillion spending plan is NOT "paid for". That's just another BIG LIE from the Democrat/Socialists.
