An invite-only premiere screening of Alexandra Lacey’s 13-years-in-the-making documentary feature!! NOTE: Tickets are limited to 2 per invitee. Email Wynn if you'd like to request more tickets: [email protected] Built around an elderly woman’s return to her island birthplace in search of lost memories and the truth of her great-grandfather’s crime, Fiji Time/Colonial Time (title being finalized) is a documentary film that explores fragmented identities and the pluralist legacy of British colonialism through interweaving multiple textures, perspectives and genres. The event will feature cast and crew, art and music from the film, and film subject Jean Bish will be signing copies of her novel Bells and Shadows, excerpts of which are featured in the film. The Roxie Theater requires all attendees to be vaccinated, so please be ready to show proof of vaccination. Doors will open at 5:30 with the event starting promptly at 6 pm.
