On Saturday when nobody was looking, Newsom signed a bill that will BAN ALL GASOLINE-POWERED EQUIPMENT in CA Chainsaws, riding lawnmowers, brush chippers, you name it, everything that falls under the label 'outdoor power equipment' will be electric. Except it's not. You won't find a battery-powered chainsaw that works in the woods for professional loggers. You won't find a battery-powered riding lawnmower that professional landscapers would use. Brush chippers? Brush chippers with gasoline engines can chew up 6" logs and larger. They don't make any electrics that will do that. So, basically, Newsom just signed a bill that demands the development of new technology that doesn't exist yet. Another rose-colored glasses, pie-in-the-sky Utopian dream from the Leftists.
