SAN RAFAEL, CA — A Marin man has been charged in connection with threatening to kill 14-year-old boy, The Marin Independent Journal reports. John Edward Mahoney, 52 of San Rafael, was charged earlier this week with false imprisonment by violence and inflicting "unjustifiable" pain and suffering on a child, among other crimes, according to the report. Mahoney was charged in connection with an incident Saturday night, the report said. The victim was among several youths who rang the doorbell of Mahoney's Terra Linda home in the area of Wakerobin Lane and Wisteria Way, the report said. The youths and ran off but Mahoney caught the 14-year-old boy who tripped, according to the report. Read more in The Marin Independent Journal
