Description

Resilience Hubs Leadership Training Cohort: Celebration and Cross-Pollination Hello Dear Ones, After 8 months of zoom sessions, skill shares and planning for resilience, it’s time to celebrate! Join the NorCal Resilience Network, fellow resilience hubs cohort members and our allies for food and conversation over at Dover Street Edible Park, in North Oakland. Network members, friends and allies are welcome to attend. Please bring masks. 11-2 pm: Pre-celebration work day (optional): Join Dover Street for their weekly work day. Get your hands dirty to help take care of this beautiful space. 2-3 pm: Eat a delicious light meal, mingle, network and brainstorm about next steps for resilience hubs sites with your fellow community resilience change makers. We welcome your food contributions as well. 3-5 pm: We will have two sessions of YOU hosting a conversation, teaching, or learning skills through “Open Space.” Whomever would like to either teach a hands-on skill share or simply facilitate a conversation will be invited to do so. We invite all topics related to community resilience - from composting to conflict resolution, food forests to foraging, wildfires to wildcrafting. Bring your own topics, materials or just your own ideas and listening. We have already have some fantastic skill share offerings, including ** Laughter Yoga! ** Inner Resilience five rhythms style dance party! ** Mulch making! Looking forward to seeing you all there in your magnificent brilliance. Please register to attend, we need to know how many people to plan for in terms of food and organizing the space. See you all there. The mission of the NorCal Community Resilience Network is to activate, and support community-based and ecological solutions to climate change, economic instability and social inequity. We are building a diverse coalition  in Northern California that helps to build capacity for grassroots projects and programs; broaden support for and build solidarity in the movement to build regenerative, locally-based and equitable communities.
