RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County reached its highest amount of 2021 for the second day in a row, holding steady at $4.325. The average price is half a cent more than one week ago, nine-tenths of a cent higher than one month ago and $1.172 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The previous 2021 high was Saturday's average of $4.323. Before that, the high was $4.322 on Sept. 6, Labor Day. The overall highest-price record is $4.688 set on Oct. 8, 2012.
