Hello and welcome, We are the San Francisco division of the Original Giron Escrima Federation. I am Instructor Evan Rubin, certified to teach the OGE system under GM Michael Giron, son of GME Leovigildo "Leo" Miguel Giron. Leo applied this system of martial combat in the jungles of the Philippines during WWII, eventually deciding to teach Escrima as self defense back home in Northern California. We train self defense to protect ourselves and our loved ones, learning to fight with both blade and stick. We train safely in an encouraging environment and utilize the martial techniques solely for self defense. We also integrate conditioning and cardio into our training sessions providing a well rounded workout. I am currently offering weekly group classes behind the senior center in the Richmond district and private lessons upon request. The group fee is $120/month which includes (2) one hour sessions, one on Monday and the other on Wednesday. Please reach out to me via email with any questions and I will respond asap.
