The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose a half-cent Tuesday to $4.349 one day after dropping three-tenths of a cent.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent more than both one week ago and one month ago but $1.138 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen $1.122 since the start of the year.
"Gas prices have been stuck in somewhat of a limbo and remain near 2021 highs," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, which provides real-time gas price information from more than 150,000 stations.
The San Diego County average price is 1 cent less than the 2021 high of $4.359 set Aug. 16.
