TAMPA, FL — Sprouts Farmers Market is planning to hire 90 people to open its new location in Tampa Heights Oct. 27. The new store is located at 101 W. 7th Ave. The opening is part of Sprouts' ongoing expansion into Tampa Bay. The Phoenix-based chain of specialty grocery store opened a 30,000-square-foot store Aug. 12 at 8620 Hunter Village Road in New Tampa and a 30,000-square-foot store at 10619 Sheldon Road in Westchase in December. Sprouts first entered the Florida market in Carrollwood in 2017 and now has 20 stores in the state. The Tampa Heights Sprouts Farmer's Market is part of The Heights District, a 43-acre, mixed-use project bounded by Oak Avenue, Tampa Street, 7th Avenue and Highland Avenue that includes a 25-story, 150-bed hotel, apartment tower with 273 units, offices, 8,664 square feet of restaurants and retail space, a 1,433-square-foot parking garage and the expansion of the Tampa Riverwalk. Sprouts is known for its open layout and a curated selection of responsibly sourced healthy products. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to speak directly with the Sprouts' hiring team on available positions including cashiers, bakery clerks, bulk clerks, deli clerks, grocery clerks, meat clerks, produce clerks, vitamin clerks and senior clerks.
