Here are the top stories in Los Angeles today: Crime data shows an increase in crime in Los Angeles in 2021, particularly in Hollywood and Mid-City. Several people have been robbed at gunpoint along Melrose Avenue near the LAPD's Wilshire and Hollywood Divisions. Fear did not appear to be harmed but was checked out at a local hospital as a precaution.
